The Vicious Cycle of Writing

So many people come by here that aren’t writers. Maybe they come by for the reviews, more often it’s from random Google phrases. Sometimes I get feedback from the contact form that says things like “You whine a lot. Writing really isn’t that hard.” That means you aren’t a writer. If you think I’m exaggerating  you either play at writing or you’ve never actually tried and just think it sounds easy. I’d like to take a moment to explain the process to those of you who aren’t writers:

AFTER MONTHS OF PLOTTING AND WRITING ON A MANUSCRIPT

THEN OUT OF NOWHERE I’M LIKE

AND WHEN PEOPLE ASK ME HOW THE NOVEL’S GOING

BUT THEN I GET A PEP-TALK FROM MY CRITIQUE PARTNER

FOR ABOUT A WEEK UNTIL

AND

BUT SOMEHOW I PULL IT OUT OF MY ASS AND MAKE IT THROUGH, AND

AND SO IT BEGINS ANEW
